Experience Exchange

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor at Pimpri Chinchwad University, Pune, in the School of Media and Communication, where I guide emerging storytellers while continuing to tell stories of my own.

As the co-founder of Parambi Studios, I’m actively involved in multiple creative projects — one of the most significant being ‘Women of the Cane’, a feature-length documentary that explores the harsh realities faced by sugarcane-cutting women in Maharashtra, where I serve as Executive Producer.

With over 17 years of experience across various media domains, I’ve constantly explored not just the strength of the medium, but also my own evolution within it. My journey began as a Radio Jockey with Radio City, waking up Maharashtra with my voice across six districts — Ahilyanagar, Solapur, Sangli, Akola, Jalgaon, and Nanded — from 2007 to 2011. I later hosted the mid-morning show and managed music curation at Radio City Pune, followed by a stint at RED FM, producing for one of Maharashtra’s most loved RJs, Sangram Khopade.

My work as a documentary filmmaker has focused on grassroots issues — from Adivasi rights to public sanitation and the strength of single women — with films like Anonymous, which was screened at several national and international festivals.

In fiction, I’ve been fortunate to be part of the core direction teams for powerful Marathi films like Paywat (National Award-winning short), Fandry, and Sairat (the highest-grossing Marathi film to date).

Beyond visuals, I lend my voice as a dubbing and voice-over artist for documentaries, TV series, and advertisements.

At the heart of it all, I remain a media explorer — curious, committed, and constantly rediscovering the power of stories.
